KARACHI – Senior entertainment journalist and first video jockey (VJ) ofPakistan lost a long battle against cancer and passed away after being inthe media industry for 20 years.
Nadia Faisal, also known as Nieni, departed this world on August 27 in aprivate hospital in Karachi. She was laid to rest on Wednesday at theMubarak Masjid near Seaview at Zuhr prayers. Her Soyem will be held betweenAsr and Maghrib on Thursday at House 1E, 7th East Street, Phase 1, D.H.A.Karachi.
Her husband, Faisal Rafi, broke the news on Twitter breaking many hearts,“Dear friends and colleagues, my wife who most of you knew as Nieni passedaway today after a long struggle with cancer, will share funeral detailssoon, please remember her in your thoughts and prayers.”
