DG ISPR and Boxer Amir Khan take a dig at Indian Pilot Abhinandan

ISLAMABAD – Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) AsifGhafoor and Pakistani-origin-British boxer Amir Khan have taken a subtledig at Indian Air Force officer Abhinandan, who was captured by PakistanAir Force (PAF) on February 27.

Khan is in Pakistan to express solidarity with people of Indian occupiedKashmir, where India has imposed a curfew since August 5, deprivingmillions of people of their basic human rights. The boxer visited the Lineof Control (LoC) on Tuesday to offer his support to Kashmiris and also metDG ISPR Asif Ghafoor.

In the video, Amir appeared to be mimicking the pilot as he drank tea andrepeated Abinandan’s words ‘tea is fantastic’. DG ISPR, while taking aslight dig at Abhinandan, shared the video on his official Twitter handlewith the same words as caption.

In February, PAF shot down two Indian fighter jets trespassing intoPakistan’s air space and captured Abhinandan alive. Later he was safelyhanded over to India. Abhinandan, during his short stay in Pakistan,praised hospitality by Pakistani Army in a video clip showing him enjoyinga cup of tea.
