PIA to buy 12 additional new Airplanes for its fleet

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan International Airlines to buy 12 new Airplanes for itsfleet, it has been revealed.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday approved the purchase of 12 additionalplanes for Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) existing fleet.

According to a press release issued by the airline’s spokesperson, thedecision was taken during a meeting of the aviation division.

Federal Minister for Aviation Chaudhry Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Adviser to thePrime Minister on Finance Dr Hafeez Shaikh, Aviation Secretary ShahrukhNusrat and PIA chief executive Air Marshal Arshad Malik attended themeeting.

During the meeting, the airline chief gave the prime minister a detailedbriefing on the future aircraft requirements of the airline as well as itsbusiness plan.
