NAB obtains new corruption evidences against former President Asif Zardari

ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has obtained newevidences against Pakistan Peoples’ Party co-chairman and former presidentAsif Ali Zardari in the Park Lane case.

Another trouble for the PPP co-chairman as the NAB found new evidencethrough investigating Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan’s(SECP) relevant record and testimonies of witnesses in the same case whileprobing into allegations against Zardari.

The anti-graft watchdog also decided to file a supplementary referenceagainst Zardari in the Park Lane case. The bureau has informed the courtthat has been proceeding with the case about the matter.

All suspects have been accused of fraudulently taking billions of rupeesfrom the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).

The anti-graft watchdog alleged the accused that he concealed PakistanPeoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s ownership of thecompany while holding the president’s office at the time. The NABmaintained that Javed Hussain accepted Zardari’s resignation in previousdate.
