KABUL – At least three people were left injured in an improvised explosivedevice (IED) attack outside the Pakistani Consulate General in Jalalabad,Afghanistan.

Foreign Office Spokesman, Dr Faisal detailed on Sunday that the explosiontook place in the holding area of the facility, adding that Pakistani staffwas safe.

Dr Faisal said the wounded include a policeman and two applicants.

We are in contact with Afghan authorities to ensure strengthened securityfor Consulate General’s premises and personnel, the spokesperson said.
