Former Chairman PCB Najam Sethi in hot waters over corruption allegations

ISLAMABAD – Former Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Najam Sethi in hotwaters over corruption allegations.

Issues amounting to millions of rupees are yet to be resolved between thePakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and former PCB chairman Najam Sethi. Bothparties have approached the court in this regard.

Sethi faces charges such as receiving unapproved allowances and potentiallymaking unimportant hiring’s. According to sources the former chairmanreceived PKR 1,41,81,570 under the guise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL)allowances. The new PCB management has put this transaction on hold.

Sethi approached the court in this regard. In response, the PCB filed apetition against Sethi to return PKR 72,74,429, that the former chairmanreceived in allowances and benefits. This issue has not been resolved tilltoday.

According to sources the PCB is conducting further investigations onvarious matters that concern the former chairman.
