Washington: President Donald Trump on Wednesday said that China and Indiaare no longer developing nations and we’re taking advantage of the tag fromWorld Trade Order (WTO).
The American President vowed to not let both countries do so at agathering in Pennsylvania.America and China have locked horns in a trade war which has seen the USlevy tariffs on China, which responded with devaluing it’s currency to an11-year low.Of late, Trump has also turned into a critical of India, describing thecountry as a “tariff king.”Earlier this year, Trump asked the WTO to define how it designateddeveloping nation status. The move was seen as an attempt to single outcountries such as China, India and Turkey.The American President also empowered the US Trade Representative to takepunitive action if any developed country is taking advantage of WTOloopholes.
