Pakistan’s strong and comprehensive repose lauded against India over Occupied Kashmir

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has given a comprehensive response to Indianallegations that Pakistan has been involved in disrupting peace in theKashmir Valley. India is making negative efforts to divert world’sattention from Kashmir dispute but this issue has now beeninternationalized. Pakistan will continue its moral, diplomatic and moralsupport to the people of Kashmir.

We should ask Kashmiris across the world and OIC countries as well to chipin and support the Kashmiri brothers. Kashmir fund must be put on disposalof Kashmir committee of government of Pakistan. The implication ofescalating tensions between two nuclear powers will have huge impact onglobal peace and stability. Over 9 million Kashmiris have already beenliving in open prison and Indian forces are using banned weapons againstinnocent Kashmiris.

Dr. Rasool Baksh Raees (Expert on International Relations):

Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory. The Kashmirdispute is the oldest unresolved international conflict in the world today.Pakistan considers Kashmir as its core political dispute with India.

So does the international community, except India. India claims to have‘signed’ a controversial document, the Instrument of Accession, on 26October 1947 with the Maharaja of Kashmir, in which the Maharaja obtainedIndia’s military help against popular insurgency.

The people of Kashmir and Pakistan do not accept the Indian claim. Indiaitself took the matter at UN and committed to hold plebiscite in HeldKashmir but violated the UN resolutions. Indian recent move to revokeArticle 370 of its constitution is a violation of international laws

Arif Kamal (Former Ambassador):

Pakistan has announced plans to expel India’s top diplomat and suspendtrade with India in order to express displeasure over unconstitutionalIndian legislations in the disputed territory of Kashmir.

India revoked Kashmir’s special status in its constitution on Monday andbrought it under its direct rule, escalating tensions with Pakistan. It isgood development that many countries have criticized Indian unilateralaction taken in Held Kashmir as it is violation of international laws.

Lt Gen (Retd) Naeem Khalid Lodhi (Defense Analyst):

Pakistan is giving befitting response against Indian attempt to abolishspecial status of Jammu and Kashmir. Indian forces have set worst exampleof brutalities in Held Kashmir.

Pakistan has all the rights to do to counter Indian unilaterallegislations. Pakistan should highlight the issue on all internationalforums including United Nations Security Council at the earliest.

Pakistan has rejected New Delhi’s impression that scrapping Article 370 ofthe Indian constitution is its internal matter as the claim was wrong froma historical, legal and moral perspective. Islamabad should continue itsmoral and diplomatic support to Kashmiri people.
