Pakistan totally bans Indian movies screening across the country

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan totally bans Indian movies screening across thecountry.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting DrFirdous Ashiq Awan said no Indian movie would be screened in Pakistanicinemas, as Pakistan takes steps to downgrade diplomatic and cultural tieswith India following the Indian government’s move to strip occupied Kashmirof its special autonomy.

Talking to media outside Parliament House on Thursday, Awan said a policywas being formulated to ban all kinds of Indian cultural content inPakistan.

She said Pakistan would utilise all options to extend its support to theKashmiris in the wake of revocation of Article 370 by India.

Efforts were being made to highlight the plight of the residents ofoccupied Kashmir, including consultations at the United Nations byPakistan’s envoy Dr Maleeha Lodhi, and contact with heads of governments,she said.
