Head Coach Mickey Arthur strongly reacts over PCB decision to sack him

ISLAMABAD -Pakistan Head Coach Mickey Arthur strongly reacts over PCBdecision to sack him from the post of Pakistan cricket team head coach.

Mickey Arthur said that he is ‘extremely disappointed and hurt’ overPakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Cricket Committee’s decision to not renew hiscontract as national team’s coach.

Recent reports claimed that Arthur was hoping for a contract extension.However, his performances did not convince PCB chairman Ehsan Mani andother members of the board.

The final decision was made on Wednesday to revamp the cricket management,which meant that head coach Mickey Arthur, bowling coach Azhar Mehmood,batting coach Grant Flower and trainer Grant Luden were all axed.

Arthur’s contract had expired last month after Pakistan failed to progressto semi-finals of the World Cup. The South African had asked for a two-yearextension but was left disappointed.
