He also lamented that Kashmir’s mainstream political leaders have beenjailed at secret locations and termed it “unconstitutional & undemocratic.”
Meanwhile, during a debate on Indian government’s abrupt decision on Jammuand Kashmir in Lok Shaba today, a Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhurysought clarification on how the United Nations is monitoring Kashmir since1948 if the region is an internal issue of India, Radio Pakistan reported.
He questioned that why India signed Shimla Agreement and LahoreDeclaration, was that an internal matter or bilateral?
The Congress leader said the government had thrown rules and regulationsout of the window by proposing to create two union territories out of Jammuand Kashmir.
