Indian cricketer penalised for breaching ICC Code of Conduct

NEW DELHI – India’s right-arm pacer Navdeep Saini has been penalised forbreaching International Cricket Council Code of Conduct during matchagainst WEST Indies.

on Monday received an official reprimand and received one demerit point forbreaching Level One of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Code ofConduct during the side’s four-wicket win over West Indies in the openingT20I of the three-match series at the Central Broward Regional Park inFlorida.

Saini was found to have breached Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct forPlayers and Player Support Personnel, which relates to using actions orgestures which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upontheir dismissal.

The incident occurred during the fourth over of the West Indies’ inningswhen Saini took the wicket of Nicholas Pooran.
