ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday had telephonic conversationwith his counterparts in Turkey and Malaysia, briefing them about theregional security situation in the aftermath of India revoking article 370and 35A of it’s Constitution.
The Pakistani premier told Mahathir bin Mohamad and Recep Tayyip Erdogenthat India’s move was illegal and would put the regional peace at risk.Talking to the Malaysian Prime Minister, Imran Khan said that changing thestatus of Occupied Kashmir was illegal in light of United Nationsresolutions.Imran Khan also said that the move would deterioate conditions between twonuclear-armed nations.Mahathir in return said that Malaysia was closely monitoring the situationand would remain in contact with Pakistan.Talking to the Turkish President, the Prime Minister said that India’sillegal move would have serious repercussions for regional security andpeace.Erdogen assured Imran Khan of Turkey’s continued support on the Kashmirissue.
