President of Pakistan summons joint session of Parliament over Occupied Kashmir crisis

ISLAMABAD – President Arif Alvi has summoned a joint session of theparliament to discuss the ongoing crisis in Kashmir.

The president has convened the session on Tuesday at 11 A.M whereinlawmakers from both the Upper as well as the Lower chambers of theparliament would discuss the Kashmir issues in the backdrop of repealingarticle 370 of the constitution of India which grants special status to thearea.

India’s Home Minister, Amit Shah has also proposed bifurcating the valleyinto two areas, stirring fear about the ‘nefarious’ designs, Modi regimemight be implementing in days to come.

Indian authorities have also deployed additional forces to the restivevalley besides suspending internet service and putting top leadersincluding former chief minister Omar Abdullah under house arrest.
