NEW YORK – Malaysian Prime Minister Mahatir Muhammad hits out at Indiangovernment over Occupied Kashmir lockdown resulting into a humanitariancrisis in the valley.
Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohamad has, from the podium ofUnited Nations General Assembly, called for settling the Kashmir disputebetween India and Pakistan through “peaceful means”.
In his address to the 193-member Assembly on Friday evening, he regrettedthat despite the UN resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir, it has been invadedand occupied, saying there may be reasons for this action but it is stillwrong.
India had imposed lockdown in the Occupied Kashmir After revoking theArticle 370 of the Indian Constitution.
