WASHINGTON – The United Stateslink hasdesignated three Russianlink nationals, oneentity and five vessels over their alleged role in providing jet fuel toRussia link forces inSyria link, the TreasuryDepartment said in a press release on Thursday.
“Today, the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign AssetsControl (OFAC) designated one entity, three individuals, and five vesselsparticipating in a sanctions evasion scheme to facilitate the delivery ofjet fuel to Russianlink forcesoperating in Syria link,”the release said.
The sanctions target Moscow-based Maritime Assistance LLC and three Russianlink nationals who theTreasury said oversaw the activities of the companylink – SovfrachtDirector of Marine Transport Ivan Okorokov, Sovfracht First Deputy Directorof Marine Transport Department Karen Stepanyan, and Sovfracht DeputyGeneral Director for Legal Support Ilya Loginov.
