Five killed and scores injured in passenger train derailment

TEHRAN – At least five people were killed and scores were injured in thepassenger train derailment in the southeast of Iran on Wednesday, Iran’sstate TV reported.

The incident took place near Zahedan city, the capital of Sistan andBaluchestan province bordering Pakistan.

In the incident, 92 other passengers were also injured, according to thereport.

The train, with 250 passengers, was traveling from Zahedan to the Iraniancapital Tehran.
