ISLAMABAD – PTI has given vacant female senate seat ticket to a surprise candidate and all 11 aspirant candidates were left wondering.
Seemi Ezdi, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen, on Wednesday has been given ticket for Senate seat in Punjab after the approval of party chief and Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.
At least 11 PTI women including Firdous Ashiq Awan, Nargis Jabeen, Nida Rehman, Rukhsana Bhatti, Sima Anwaar, Asma Badar, Noreen Farooqui, Irum Bukhari, Dr Zarqa and Sara Ahmed had submitted applications to contest the Senate election from Punjab.
However, the party found Seemi Ezdi suitable for the ticket to contest the poll on November 15.
