PEMRA suspends license of private channel company

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Monday suspended license of Nickelodeon owned by ARY Communications (Pvt.) Ltd. for showing Hindi dubbed cartoons.

According to a press release issued here, the Authority has taken this decision on violation of its orders October 19, 2016, whereby airing of Indian content was totally banned.

However, Nickelodeon has been violating these orders and was showing Indian dubbed cartoons daily. Therefore, the competent authority suspended its Landing Right Permission Immediately, till further orders.
