KPK Minister Ali Amin Gandapur booked in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Islamabad Police have registered a case against Provincial Minister for Revenue in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for carrying illegal weapons and liquor on his way to residence of Imran Khan in Bani Gala.

According to police, the car of KP Minister for Revenue Ali Amin Gandapur was stopped and searched at a check post at the Rukhsana Bangash road when he was going to the residence of Imran Khan.  During search, police said that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the vehicle which were later displayed at Bara Kahu police station. These weapons included SMG gun, telescope, 9 MM pistol along with 15 rounds, two magazines, 289 rounds of various types, two number plates bearing registration number YH-115 and one wine bottle.

The case has been registered at Bara Kahu Police Station by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Younis. He is also accused of violating Section 144.

The Fist Information Report (FIR) also mentioned that Gandapur escaped on foot as he was stopped by the law enforcement personnel near Rukhsana Bangash road.

Meanwhile, five other FIRs were registered at Bhara Kau and Bani Gala police stations of Islamabad.
