There is no family planning in Islam: Tayyab Erdogan

ANKARA: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan revealed that there is no concept of family planning in Islam and we have to increase our descendents.
He claimed that birth control is a treason and it's women responsibility to make sure that the Turkish population keep growing continuously.
He said “We need to increase the number of our descendants.”
“People talk about birth control, about family planning. No Muslim family can understand and accept that! As God and as the great Prophet said, we will go this way. And in this respect the first duty belongs to mothers,” he added.
Women activist group condemned Erdogan’s comments and claimed that he violated the rights of women.
“You (Erdogan) cannot usurp our right to contraception, nor our other rights with your declarations that come out of the Middle Ages,” the group tweeted.
