ISLAMABAD: Non-bailable arrest warrants of Imran Khan and Tahir ul Qadri have been issued by Anti-Terrorism Court Islamabad in the case of attack on SSP Asmatullah Junejo during sit-in protest in 2014.
As per details, the hearing of the case was held in Islamabad under ATC Judge Sohail Akram while court expressed its displeasure over the absence of both accused in court in attack on SSP Junejo case.
During the hearing, court issued non-bailable arrest warrant of PTI Chairman Imran Khan and PAT Chief Dr. Tahir ul Qadri along with other accused and ordered relevant police station DSP Idrees Rathore personally to ensure the arrest of all accused in this case on next hearing.
It is also worthy to mention here that SSP Asmatullah Junejo was beaten by the workers of PAT and PTI during the sit-in protest in Red Zone of Islamabad. Imran Khan, Tahir ul Qadri and other accused were nominated in the First Information Report of the incident.
