Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa says Pakistan and China are facing common challenges, which can be defeated through joint efforts.
He was addressing a special ceremony held in Islamabad on Monday to mark the 90th foundation day of People's Liberation Army of China.
The Army Chief said Islamabad and Beijing are important strategic partners and Pakistan Army is proud of its friendship with China.
He expressed hope that professional cooperation between Pakistan Army and People's Liberation Army will further increase.
General Bajwa also expressed best wishes for Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Meanwhile, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, in his felicitation message on the occasion, said that cooperation between people and militaries of the two countries are historic.
He said joint exercises between the two militaries are reflective of these relations.
