LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered Pakistan President Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Pervaiz Elahi to be presented in court at 10 am tomorrow.
According to details, LHC Judge Amjid Rafique heard an appeal against the NAB's arrest of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi. The court has asked the relevant authorities to arrange security for Pervaiz Elahi's trial tomorrow. Earlier, the audit court ordered the detention of former Chief Minister Chaudhry, the former Chief Minister of Punjab in the Gujrat corruption case.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) requested pre-trial detention of Pervaiz Elahi in the corruption case heard by Judge Shehzad Kyani. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has re-arrested former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi after he was released from Adiala prison. After the end of his detention under the DFO, the President of PTI was released from Adiala prison today. However, he was arrested by the NAB for failing to provide information to the accountability office about excess assets in the case against him, his son Monis Elahi, and other family members.
NAB sources revealed that an investigation has also been opened against Moonis Elahi over the over-holding. A team from NAB branch Lahore brought the former CM from Adiala Prison to Rawalpindi Hearings Court for remand during transit.
