ISLAMABAD – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has arrivedPakistan for a crucial visit.
He landed in Pakistan Wednesday morning to hold key talks.
This marks the second visit by the Iranian foreign minister to Islamabadsince the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) formed the government.
Zarif is expected to meet his Pakistani counterpart, Shah Mehmood Qureshi.He will also call on the prime minister to discuss various matters.
The high profile Iranian visit comes days after the Pakistani premierreturned from Saudi Arabia with a $3 billion bailout package.
