An agreement was reached during a meeting held in Islamabad betweenCaretaker Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, SamiSaeed, and the newly appointed Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, RezaAmiri-Moghaddam. In response, the Iranian Ambassador extended his nation’s willingness tocollaborate in the energy sector, showing recognition for Pakistan’simperative energy security requirements. Both sides concurred on thenecessity of bolstering trade and connectivity, reaffirming their sharedaspiration to augment the volume of bilateral trade.
