SRINAGAR – In Indian-held Jammu Kashmir (IHK), second-day strike is beingobserved today (on Friday) to register protest against New Delhi’s attemptsto abrogate the Article 35-A of the Indian constitution.

Call for the strike has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership.Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution prohibits non-permanent residentsof Jammu and Kashmir from permanent settlement in the state and fromacquiring immovable property, government jobs, scholarships and aid there.
