LAHORE: Daughter of ousted premier Nawaz Sharif and Vice President ofPakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz will appear before theNational Accountability Bureau (NAB) to record her statement in M/sChaudhry Sugar Mills Ltd case, on Wednesday.
According to reports, Maryam’s brothers Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz arealso summoned by the accountability watchdog today in a suspicion of beingstakeholders in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills.
The evidence against the owners of the sugar mills came to the fore duringthe investigation against Shehbaz Sharif and his sons Hamza and Salman inmoney laundering and income beyond means case.
Moreover, the NAB has also ordered Abbas Sharif’s son Abdul Aziz to appearbefore the investigation team.
Importantly, PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif is also likely to be called bythe bureau in the same case.
The NAB has purportedly traced numerous telegraphic transfers (TTs) worthmillions of rupees by the Sharif family and the end beneficiaries allegedlyincluded Maryam Nawaz and other owners of the Chaudhry Sugar Mills.
The NAB has launched another investigation against members of the Shariffamily, and in this regard, the bureau, for the first time, summoned YousufAbbas on July 23 and recorded his statement.
