Shocking revelation: How many votes were rejected across Pakistan in general elections 2018?

ISLAMABAD – In a shocking revelations it has been revealed that as many as1.6 million casted votes were rejected by officials of Election Commissionof Pakistan (ECP) in General Elections 2018.

As per details garnered, there were 35 such constituencies where number ofrejected votes surpassed the number of votes of the winning candidates.

Out of 35 such constituencies, 24 belonged to Punjab, the province withlargest number of seats in National Assembly (NA) whereas sixconstituencies existed in Sindh, four in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one inBalochistan.

As per details, 15,568 votes were rejected in the NA-86 constituency. Inthis constituency, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) member Nasir IqbalBosal win against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Nazar Mohammad Gondalwith a margin of around 67,000 votes.

Similarly, 15,340 votes were rejected in NA-197, Kashmore. Pakistan PeoplesParty’s Ehsan-Ur-Rehman Mazari secured victory in this constituency.

In NA-196, 13,660 votes were rejected. PTI’s Muhammad Mian Soomro emergedvictor from the Jacobabad constituency.

Further, 13,597 votes were rejected in NA-260, Nasirabad-Kachhi-Jhal Magsiconstituency from which Balochistan Awami Party’s Khalid Hussain Magsi wonduring the July 25 polls.

In NA 205, Ghotki 2 where independent candidate Ali Muhammad Khan Maharwon, 13,458 votes were rejected.
