Nawaz Sharif latest medical report surface from PIMS hospital

*RAWALPINDI: The medical condition of former premier Nawaz Sharif isimproving according to reports given by the doctors of Pakistan Instituteof Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital.*

According to doctors, the reports of most of the tests, conductedyesterday, were normal, however, a team of doctors from cardiac center willagain examine Nawaz today. ECG (electrocardiogram) and all other tests willbe conducted again.

On July 29, the caretaker Punjab government shifted former premier NawazSharif to the PIMS hospital for treatment from Adiala jail where he hasbeen serving sentence awarded to him in the Avenfield properties case.

Sources said doctors gave the former premier a complete check-up includingof sugar level, blood pressure and heart beat, along with cardio and kidneytests.

Interim Home Minister Shaukat Javed told ARY News that the governmentdecided to shift him to the hospital after his blood tests showed clotting.

He said doctors from the PIMS had conducted echocardiography (Echo),electrocardiography (ECG), and other tests and recommended he be shifted tothe hospital in light of his medical reports.

Sources said security was put on high alert including heavy contingent ofpolice in armoured vehicles were deployed, while bomb disposal squadcleared the hospital and its surroundings after thorough inspection.Snipers have also been deployed on buildings around the hospital.
