Finance Minister Shaukat Tarinlink has said there will be noincrease link in power tarifflink, vowing that an inclusive andsustainable growth over a long period of time is his government’s policy.
Addressing a budget webinar in Islamabad on Sunday, the finance ministersaid when the PTI government took power; our economy was going through acrisis. However, Prime Minister Imran Khan took big decisions in a bid torevive the economy, he added. He said the government took special steps toappreciate the value of the rupee.
Tarin blamed Covid-19 pandemic for posing threat to the government’sefforts regarding economic revival. He said despite the corona onslaught,the government promoted the construction sector and revived more than 40industries linked to this sector.
