Indian government’s recent decision to rename Delhi’s famous Mughal Gardensas Amrit Udyan has triggered criticism from all over the world.

The BJP advocated Hindutva (“Hindu-ness”), an ideology that sought todefine Indian culture in terms of Hindu values, and it was highly criticalof the of the secular policies. Now, intolerance toward Muslims,Christians, Sikhs and other minority groups is on the rise in NarendraModi-led India with Hindu groups using violence, intimidation, andharassment against minorities on daily basis in the country.
