Pakistan Hockey league announced, foreign players to participate

ISLAMABAD - Asia Hockey Cup will be played in Dhaka, Bangladesh next month. 

This was stated by Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation Shahbaz Ahmad Senior while Talking to APP.

Besides Pakistan, teams of Bangladesh, India, China, South Korea, Japan, Oman and Malaysia will take part in the event.    

Shahbaz Senior said the national team will also make tours to Australia and Europe next year to prepare for the World Cup to be played in India.   

He said Pakistan Hockey League will be played next year.

Six franchise-based teams will participate in the inaugural edition. The event will be played in four cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Gojra and Faisalabad.

Players from Australia, Argentina and other foreign countries will also participate in the league.
