The Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench issued an order to de-seal Lal Haveli, the residence of Awami Muslim League (AML) chief and former federal minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed. This decision came during a case related to Lal Haveli, with Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf presiding over it. Sheikh Rashid personally attended the court hearing wearing a 'black coat.'

Following the hearing, Sheikh Rashid addressed the media formally, characterizing May 9 as a scheme involving "filthy individuals." He expressed his unwavering support for the Pakistan Army, emphasizing that he stood by them yesterday and would continue to do so.

In the aftermath of the hearing, the chief of the Awami Muslim League praised Justice Waqas Rauf's historic ruling and asserted his innocence in all three cases.

He revealed that he had shed 30 kilograms of weight and humorously mentioned that he was wearing a coat he last wore during his college days. Additionally, Sheikh Rashid indicated concerns about his health and stated that his medical reports had just arrived.

Sheikh Rashid indicated that he should be arrested in a case from October 5, suggesting that instead of detaining his driver, he should be summoned to the police station. He assured that if his arrest was necessary, he would willingly comply.

He also spoke highly of the Pakistan Army, referring to it as a great force. He praised Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General (DG) Nadeem Anjum, describing them as sources of national pride. Sheikh Rashid applauded General Munir as a distinguished soldier and noted that he had never spoken against the army.

Reflecting on a "40-day retreat," Sheikh Rashid claimed that it had transformed him into a different person. He additionally declared his intention to run in the next election against the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) for both seats in Rawalpindi.
