LAHORE – A complaint has on Friday been lodged against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ayaz Sadiq at Lahore’s Civil Lines Police Station over his statement regarding release of Indian fighter pilot Abhinandan Varthaman.
According to details, police have forwarded the application to legal department for consultation. Police officials maintained that action over the complaint will be taken as per the law.
On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz said in his tweet that the matter of Ayaz Sadiq’s statement has gone beyond apology as the law will come into effect now.
Weakening the state is an unforgivable crime and Ayaz Sadiq and his supporters must be punished for that, the minister stressed.
