Saudi Arabia launches "Road to Makkah Project" in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Saudi Arabia is to begin a pilot project from Islamabad Airport tomorrow under the Road to Makkah programme to facilitate Pakistani pilgrims.

A spokesman of the Ministry of Religious Affairs said that a fifty-one member Saudi Immigration Team is arriving in Islamabad today for this purpose.

He said the team will visit the Islamabad Airport soon after its arrival and instal the required system there.

It said that intending Hujjaj will be provided passport, ticket, locket and stickers before Hajj flight. The Ministry said Road to Makkah project will be started from Islamabad for Hajj. It said a 51-member Saudi Immigration delegation will arrive in Islamabad today and visit the Airport to install the system. It said that the Saudi immigration staff will complete the immigration process at Islamabad airport.
