PESHAWAR – PTI worker Dr Sumera Shams has became the youngest MPA inhistory of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly.
Twenty-six-year-old Dr Sumera became the youngest member of the KPAssembly, winning her seat from Lower Dir – a region of the province wherewomen had previously been barred from casting a vote.
Sumera had earlier made history as well, when she became the first femaleof the area to cast a vote. The MPA is not the only one from her familyshattering gender roles, as her sister Noorena is also widely acclaimed forbeing ranked 127 globally as a Pakistani squash player and internationalathlete.
