Ministry of National Health Services has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan for implementation of Sehat Sahulat Programme in all districts of the country.
The signing ceremony was held in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for National Health Services Aamir Mahmood Kiyani said the scope of this program has been extended to the whole country.
He said Sehat Insaf Cards will give the facility of free medical treatment to people living below the poverty line.
He said the package of the card has been enhanced to 0.72 million rupees.
He said fifteen million families or 90 million people will benefit from treatment under the scheme.
The Minister said the government is working day and night to improve the health sector.
