Former Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi, lashed out at the current Pakistan team management. He said that the ex-players might be the legends of the game and can have an eye to spot the talent, but to become a good coach, they need to undergo formal training.

Sethi added that the egos of ex-stars limit them from becoming top-class coaches. This statement seemed directed towards the current head coach of the Pakistan team, Misbah-ul-Haq, and the bowling coach, Waqar Younis. ------------------------------

Najam Sethi was the former Chairman of PCB who is known for bringing cricket back to Pakistan and making Pakistan Super League a global brand. ------------------------------

The current team management is under a lot of criticism due to the recent incident of Mohammad Amir retiring from international cricket and refusing to play under the current team management. The results on the pitch have not helped their cause either as Pakistan has lost the T20I series against New Zealand and is on course for a defeat in the first Test as well.

Former players have criticized the man management of the coaches as well. Former captain, Rashid Latif, expressed his displeasure with the treatment of Imad Wasim in the T20I series as well. He warned the team management that Imad also has the option of taking the same route as Amir.
