KARACHI: (APP) Six accused have been arrested on the charges of attack and ransacking media house on August 22.
This was stated by the Director General (DG) of Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Maj Gen Bilal Akbar, here on Monday.
Talking to media at the Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC), he said that raids are being conducted to arrest other accused.
DG Rangers stated that attack on the media house was a planned one and before the Muttahida chief's address the sector and unit activists were gathered around the Karachi Press Club in the form of groups. Some of them had meal at the branches of the two banks.
He said that Altaf Hussain delivered a provocative speech and asked the activists to attack the media house.
The DG Rangers pointed out that one person was killed and three others were injured in the violence.
He said that the accused are being identified through the video footages and being handed over to the police for legal action.
