16 ISIS-K terrorists along with commander killed in Afghanistan along Pakistan border

KABUL – At least sixteen militants affiliated with the Islamic State ofIraq and Syria Khurasan (ISIS-K) have been killed during the latestoperations of the Afghan Special Forces in eastern Nangarhar province.

The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East said a commanderof the terror group was among those killed.

According to a statement released by 201st Silab Corps, the operations wereconducted by 02 Unit of the Afghan army in Chengi area of Achin district.

The statement further added that the Air Forces also provided air supportto the Afghan forces during the operation.

The security personnel involved in the operations and local residents havenot suffered casualties during the operations, the 201st Silab Corps added.

The anti-government armed militant and terrorist groups including ISIS-Kloyalists have not commented regarding the operations so far.
