On Thursday, Ayaz Khan, a local leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz(PML-N), was fatally shot in a firing incident in Mardan district, asreported by ARY News citing the police.
The attack, carried out by unknown assailants on Wednesday night in theMausam Korana area of Mardan, resulted in the PML-N leader’s death. Policehave initiated an investigation and are actively searching for theperpetrators.
In a separate incident in October, a member of the Awami National Party(ANP) provincial council, Javed Khan, was shot dead by two unidentifiedmotorcyclists.
