ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Monday expressed commitmentto retrieve the looted money from abroad.
The prime minister stated while meeting with the federal ministers. Hesaid that the illegal transfer of money from poor countries is the rootcause of backwardness and poverty. “All possible steps for retrieving thelooted money are among the top priorities,” he added.
Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi called on PM Imran Khanin Islamabad and briefed him about the overall situation of the ports.
Economist Dr Shahid Kardar called on the premier, Federal Minister HamadAzhar, Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and Dr Waqar Masood also attended the meetingand discussed measures to prevent money laundering and return of stolenmoney.

On the other hand, PM Imran Khan, while talking to renowned economistShahid Kardar, said bringing the plundered money back to the country isamongst the foremost priorities of the government.
Imran Khan noted the illegal flow of money from the poor countries is thebasic reason of their backwardness and poverty. They also discussed overalleconomic situation and the steps to check money laundering.
