NAB Chief stops all actions against Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandiwalla

ISLAMABAD – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r)Javed Iqbal on Sunday has directed not to take any further action againstSenate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla before considering all legalelements of the case.

The directions were issued by the chairman NAB after taking notice ofallegations leveled by Mandviwalla in a presser earlier in the day, said adeclaration issued by the NAB.

Justice retired Javed Iqbal has sought a complete record of the concernedcase.

The declaration further said that the anti-graft watchdog respects allparliamentarians and a decision about further action will be taken afterconsidering all sides of the case.

‘NAB a blackmailing organization’

Earlier today, addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said thatPrime Minister Imran Khan earlier assured of neutral accountability but theopposition is being victimized he alleged.

Saleem Mandviwalla had alleged ‘NAB a blackmailing organization’ andalleged that people only go for plea bargain to save their honor. He alsosaid that it is the first time in history that the “Senate of Pakistan” isfacing a tough time because of the watchdog body.
