KABUL – US drone strike in Afghanistan kills civilians including women andchildren.
At least six members of a family were killed in a “drone attack” in Khostprovince, members of the Khost provincial council said Saturday.
According to the provincial council, the six people were killed in avillage in Alisher district and the drone targeted a civilian’s home. Childrenare also among the victims, the council members claimed, TOLO News hasreported.

A spokesman for US forces in Afghanistan confirmed an airstrike in Khost inTerazai district that “targeted three Taliban fighters.” The spokesmanadded “we are aware of the allegations of civilian casualties” and saidthey are “working with local authorities to determine the veracity of theseclaims. “
