Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan reveals new names for the ElectionCommission of Pakistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday recommendednames for the appointment of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and otherECP members, GNN reported.
In a letter to Chairman Senate Sadiq Sinjrani and Speaker National AssemblyAsad Qaiser, the premier recommended names for the appointment of the CECand other ECP members.
PM Imran proposed names of Justice (retd) Sadiq Bhatti, Justice (retd)Noor-ul-haq Qureshi and Abdul Jabbar Qureshi for Sindh while forbalochistan, the names of Dr Fayez Mohammad Kakar, Mir Naveed Jan Balochand Amanullah Baloch were proposed.
Earlier today, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly ShehbazSharif wrote a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan recommending three namesfor the post of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president, in a letter to the premier,recommended the names of Nasir Mahmood Khosa, Jalil Abbas Jillani andAkhlaaq Ahmed Tarar for the post of CEC.
Shehbaz Sharif said, “In my opinion, these prominent personalities are fitand deserving of this position”.
