Afghanistan Military General killed by Afghan Taliban: Report

KABUL – Afghanistan Military General killed by Afghan Taliban.

Brig. Gen. Zahirgul Muqbil, an army regiment commander of Afghan borderforces, was killed in a roadside bomb explosion in Marjah district, Helmandprovince on Saturday morning, the provincial governor’s spokesman Omar Zwaksaid.

Zwak said three security force members and a local journalist were woundedin the attack.

The forces were heading to a military operation in Marjah district whentheir humvee hit a roadside bomb, he said.

Shamshad TV network, based in Kabul, confirmed in a tweet that their localreporter Mohammad Sarwari was wounded in the blast.
