HYDERABAD – Eminent educationist, former federal education secretary andformer Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Mazhar-ul-Haq Siddiqui willinaugurate the new University of Art and Culture Jamshoro on Dec 2.According to details, in the university, students will gain intellectualknowledge in disciplines of fine art, ceramic art, cinematic art,architecture, culture and languages, media designs, animation design,textile design and fashion designs.The Provincial Assembly of Sindh had passed the Bill 2017 on April 17, 2018for establishment of University of Art and Culture, Jamshoro throughlegislation under Sindh Act No: XVI of 2018. TheBill came to exist after approval from the Governor Sindh on May 12, 2018.The University of Art and Culture Jamshoro is a venture of Pakistan WorkersInstitute which is a non-commercial and non-profitable organizationregistered under societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with objective tocater the technical aspects of education in the fields of art, craft,design, architecture, theatre, film, research and trainings in varioustrades.
Art is a comprehensive creative process, an expression of human values,which is involved at every step of human development and the universityaims to create a community for the developmentin the country through participation of skilled human resource.The university is committed to raise the bar of quality in the tradesthrough trainings in collaboration with other government, semi-governmentand private organization with similar aims and objects as well as highquality academic programmes, trainings, faculty development initiatives andgrowing ventures with acclaimed national and international institutions.
