Good news for Pakistani Hajj pilgrims

On Monday, Caretaker Minister for Interior Sarfaz Bugti clarified that thegovernment was not under any pressure to expel illegal foreign nationals.

During a press conference held while briefing the cabinet meeting, hereiterated the government’s stance on addressing the issue of illegalindividuals involved in business activities. Bugti stressed the enforcementof strict legal measures against those conducting business with illegalimmigrants or renting out homes, citing their prosecution under the ForeignAct.

In another development, Caretaker Minister for Information Murtaza Solangiannounced that the cabinet had granted permission for private airline FlyJinnah to operate international flights. This decision will enable theairline to establish international routes connecting various destinations,including Afghanistan, Malaysia, the UAE, and other countries.

Additionally, the Federal Cabinet approved the Hajj Policy for 2024, with179,210 Pakistanis set to perform Hajj next year. Notably, women will nowbe allowed to perform Hajj without a male guardian under Saudi Arabia’spermission.
