Electricity supply from Iran to Pakistan’s Gwadar disrupted

The electricity supply to Pasni, Gwadar and its adjoining areas is facingdisruption due to technical fault in the electricity transmission linecoming from Iran, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to spokesperson for Qesco, a 132-KV Quetta-Iran powertransmission line is hit by a technical fault owing to which the powersupply to the grid stations of three districts of Makran has been affected.

The power supply to grid stations in Turbat, Gwadar, Gwadar Industrialarea, Deep Seaport, Pasni, Ormara, Panjgur and Hoshab has been affected,the spokesperson added.

He said that after the restoration of electricity supply from Iran, theQesco would restore the power supply to all areas in Makran. He furthersaid that the Qesco regrets the electricity suspension and requests theconsumers to cooperate with the electricity supply company.
